Group Cares Mission New Bern 2016 was awesome.  I could not have found better people to help me with my home.  Because I recently loss my husband, using tools and home maintenance was new to me, so Group Cares helped me tremendously.  The volunteers each had an area of expertise beyond just painting.  They fixed holes in the wall and helped with other needed repairs too.  

They were all beautiful people.  When you think of teenagers, you often think about partying, but these teens spent their time giving of themselves.  Along with painting, we had daily lunch and fellowship time.  They even got to know my dog, Elmo.   I enjoyed them immensely and remember each and every one of them.  

Overall, it was a wonderful experience, a true blessing.
